First Assembly of God

Welcome to First Assembly

Hi there!

Welcome to First Assembly.  Our purpose is to glorify God by making his love known to others and teaching them to become fully committed followers of Christ.  We're glad that you've taken the time to learn about us and we invite you to look around our site.

What about us?

First Assembly is a community of people who are experiencing together God's love, acceptance, and forgiveness. Every week we join together to worship God and experience relevant Bible messages from God's Word.  Our worship gatherings are comprised of primarily two elements: powerful worship & life changing messages. We are determined to share the love of Jesus by caring for each other and positively impacting our community.

What about Children?

High Point is designed for children in elementary school.  Noah's Park is designed for children in pre-school.  High Point & Noah's Park meet at the same time the adults meet for worship.  While in Noah's Park & High Point your child will experience age-appropriate teaching, music, and activities all developed to point your child toward a daily relationship with Jesus.  On Wednesday nights we have split the children into clubs by gender.  The girls attend 'Mpact Clubs' & the boys 'Royal Rangers.'  We believe that kids should have fun at church, as well as learning. The leaders are all screened, trained, and selected because of their dedication and love for children.

What about Students?

First Assembly provides multiple opportunities for students in sixth grade through twelfth grade to get involved and connect with God and other students in meaningful ways.  The students meet every Wednesday night in the gym.  We are currently making plans for a student center in the basement of the church equipped with a kitchen café, ping pong tables, foosball, air hockey, video games & more.  We're also making plans to split the two age groups (middle school & high school) in to two different groups, but continue to meet at the same time.  The student leaders always present relevant messages that are applicable to the lives of students.  Plus, small groups, concerts, social outings, retreats, and mission trips are other opportunities for fun and growth. Regular student gatherings are usually scheduled at other times than the weekend worship services so that students may take part in worship with their parents.

Well, there is nothing quite as scary as walking into a new place where you don't know anyone and everything is unfamiliar.  It can be especially intimidating to enter a new church where there is an energy and buzz, and it seems like everyone knows someone.  You might wonder if you could ever fit in and get connected.

With time, patience, and a little initiative, church is one of the best places to find true and lasting friendships.

So if you live in Northwest Missouri and you're not already plugged into a biblically functioning/spirit-filled church, I invite you to come join us.

Sincerely,

Brian Elliott, Pastor

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace. (Acts 20:24)
